We slept in late again! We got up, had a quick breakfast of leftovers and packed up all our belongings. We hooked up the boat trailer and made it down to the beach by the crack of noon!
We loaded up the boat and headed north to tour the lake.
We drove around the point and west a bit into the bay where Sunshine Houseboats was located. We parked along the dock and walked around for a while. We toured one of the houseboats and it was cool. We bought some ice cream and headed north even further.
After about twenty minutes before we arrived at Kookanusa Village formerly known as Sweetwater. There were giant mansions spread all over the place but not a beach for miles nor hardly a tree in sight. It was quite windy there but there were sure some beautiful houses.
We headed back home to Newgate and loaded up the boat onto the trailer.
There was a storm blowing in so we decided to head home. Was much easier today with no accidents to contend with but an off a lot of drivers taking risks. We stopped at the Alberta border for 15 minutes for our mandatory both inspection is they ran hot water through my boat leg to kill any muscles or molluscs that had built up while at Koocanusa.
Filled up with fuel and headed north on Highway 22 into the pouring rain for half an hour and super strong north wind. We went east to Nanton and then north to home and made it in 4 1/2 hours with stops at A&W in Fernie and the boat inspection at the border so made very good time.
